New Year, New Goals, Same Heart
New Year, New Goals, Same Heart
A new year always feels like a quiet invitation.
Not a demand to suddenly become someone else, but a gentle nudge to listen a little closer to what’s been pulling at my heart. As a photographer, I’ve learned that growth doesn’t always come in big, loud moments. Sometimes it arrives slowly—through curiosity, restlessness, and the deep desire to keep creating in ways that feel honest.
This year, I’m setting a few intentions for myself and my work.
One of my biggest dreams is to photograph more weddings internationally. I’m endlessly inspired by new places, different cultures, and the stories that unfold when two people choose each other anywhere in the world. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony tucked into a small European village, a coastal elopement, or a celebration somewhere I’ve never been before, I want to keep chasing connection beyond borders. Love looks different everywhere, yet somehow always feels the same—and I want to document more of that.
Another goal for the year is to shoot more 35mm film.
Film has a way of slowing me down in the best possible way. It asks me to be present, intentional, and trusting. There’s something magical about not seeing the image right away—about letting anticipation build and allowing imperfection to exist. The grain, the softness, the subtle surprises… film feels alive. I want to lean deeper into that process and weave more film into my wedding work and personal projects.
More than anything, though, my biggest goal is simple: to keep creating from a place of heart.
To tell stories that feel real.
To photograph moments that matter.
To show up fully for the couples who trust me with their memories.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels true to you—whether it’s down the road or across the ocean—I’d love to connect. Here’s to a new year of growth, adventure, and meaningful stories.
