Jacqueline Franquez

Hello! I’m Jacqueline- my friends call me Jax. I have been in the photography world for over a decade-starting in front of the camera as a model. Working with skilled and creative photographers, it inspired me to create soul-touching images. That is where my passion began- with the simple yet soulful connection that photography brought to the table.

Being a documentary wedding photographer means approaching each celebration with a quiet, observant presence—ready to capture the real moments as they unfold naturally. Instead of posing or orchestrating scenes, I focus on the candid interactions, subtle gestures, and emotional beats that tell a couple’s true story. My goal is to preserve the atmosphere of the day exactly as it felt, creating images that feel honest, human, and deeply personal. I bring a fun, easy-going energy to every wedding, helping people feel comfortable so their real personalities can shine.

Based in Asheville, North Carolina, I’m lucky to be surrounded by incredible landscapes and creative energy, but I also travel wherever love takes me. Whether I’m photographing a celebration in the mountains or across the country, I bring the same intentional, unobtrusive approach to every wedding. I also shoot 35mm film, which adds a timeless, tactile quality to the images—grain, color, and imperfection that all work together to create photographs with soul. I would truly be honored to connect with you and document your wedding day in a way that feels meaningful and heartfelt.
